As you were.

So I had a long talk with a good friend yesterday afternoon that wound up inspiring the lyrics I put up yesterday. Since time is tighter than usual these days (yep, still working 3 positions for 1 salary - ugh), I scratched out what I could onto sheet music and set about recording a half-arsed version of the song so that I wouldn't forget how it goes. I usually try to record the piano and vocal separately since, like walking and chewing gum at the same time, singing and playing piano at the same time usually results in bad things for me - so by "half-arsed" I mean that I didn't do separate tracks here and as a result, I was totally distracted and tripped myself up all over the place. Oh well, whaddaya gonna do.

Anyhoo, once I have the time to write out a decent piano solo, I'll re-record the badly-improvised gobbledygook you hear in the second half of the song. And yeah, the rest of it will probably get redone as well.

In the meantime, here's a little piece of my heart to start off the Spring. :)
