Can't back that up.

Canon Art for Marion.

It's a mad dash to create as much canon art as possible these days, and as soon as I have all my details straight, I'll tell you why! This was a request from Marion, whom I secretly regard as my "House Elf Project" Wizard Rock Band manager. ;)

Title: The Second Task
Rating: G
Medium: Watercolor
Characters: Gabrielle Delacour, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Cho Chang, Harry Potter, and a mermaid. :)
Summary: "A choir of merpeople were singing in the middle, calling the champions towards them, and behind them rose a crude sort of statue; a gigantic merperson hewn from a boulder. Four people were bound tightly to the tail of the stone merperson. Ron was tied between Hermione and Cho Chang. There was also a girl who looked no older than eight, whose clouds of silvery hair made Harry feel sure that she was Fleur Delacour's sister." - Goblet of Fire, Chapter 26

1) More information to come regarding the reason for the canon art marathon, but suffice to say I'm ridiculously psyched.
2) uponadream, I'm mailing out your commish tomorrow! :D
3) I'm so sorry I'm so ridiculously behind on comments. One day I will be able to catch up, as I really do appreciate the time you guys take to leave your thoughts on things I say or draw. I do read everything, even if I can't write back.
4) Hello to new friends! *waves*

The reason for the canon art marathon! XD

So. Who's gonna be in the Washington, DC area on April 28th?

The reason why I'm asking is because Borders Bookstore of Arlington has asked to display my Harry Potter artwork in a gallery on the second floor from 3pm-5pm on that day. Basically, I've been drawing in a little discreet corner of the cafe in the store of late, and the Corporate Sales Rep heard from one of the Baristas that I drew HP there every so often. Since the store is doing events to prepare for the launch of Deathly Hallows, he thought it would be fun to host an art event with me as their local artist-type person! *flail*

Naturally, apart from peeing my pants, I enthusiastically said yes!

Now, there's just one problem. I didn't realize until now that 90% of my full color artwork is fanon, not canon. I'm pretty sure no one at this event could look at my scene from shocolate's story and understand why Ron is dropping his pants and Harry is holding a bottle of Firewhiskey, know what I mean?

So here's the plan. The commissions list remains a top priority, of course. Between each commission, I'll do a couple of canon pictures, which isn't terribly different from what I'm doing right now. People who have already put in requests for art will be given priority (you guys have been really patient, thank you).

Below is a poll - if you have a moment, help me by picking out some canon scenes you think might go over well with the Borders crowd. :) If there's something not featured in the poll and you REALLY think I should consider it, by all means, leave it in the comments.

Holy crap, I'm excited. Two months! EGAD!

Those of you who live nearby - I REALLY hope you come! My whole family is coming to see it (of course, that's also because of my birthday, but you know). So COME!
