BORDERS! YAAAAYYYYYY! (holy crap this is a lot of pictures)

At last! The Borders Picspam of Ungodly Wonderfulness! Cue epic soundtrack now.

Just kidding. The following is a play-by-play of my birthday festivities and the art show, and I'm so pleased to share this with you guys, since you've all sort of been a part of the preparations. Although my tendonitis slowed down my artwork, I'm still going to finish the canon art winners because Borders has invited me back to display at the midnight release party. Now, who's comin'? :D

In any case, on with the picspam! :D Major thank-yous to kirleyfries for being an amazing event photographer!

Mah Birfday!Collapse )

OMG! What a way to spend your birthday! CONGRATULATIONS!
And thankyou for all the wonderful photos! Your Dad is totally awesome, and so are you! :~D And how fantastic that so many of your family were there; they must be (rightly!) so proud of you! And you did a drawing lesson as well!!

Did you have mainly original art in the frames or prints? And I sympathise completely about the cost of mounting and framing. Did you sell many? And it's so excellent that they want you back for the book release!

Oh, wow. I wish I lived close enough that I could've been there. What an amazing day. Your art looks fantastic displayed like that.

I have to say that my absolute favorite part of the post (other than your dad as Snape, which is way too cool for words) was the reactions of the kids. OMG. I got all teary-eyed looking at those pictures (and ROFL at the poor kid you traumatized by having Ron and Hermione sitting close to each other. What did he say when he saw the one with Harry and Ginny kissing?)

And *boggles* at the Sorting Hat cake. That's incredible.

This is the first time I've been able to comment without my daughter Amber interpreting for me.

WOW! No interpretation needed here. How beautiful!
Your art touches my heart. Knowing these characters as I do, by looking at your work I feel their joy, their sorrow, their love.

Wish I could have been there. Looking forward to seeing you at PR. and it was great to see all of the people and family that attended.

Thanks so much for sharing and happy belated B'day!

Awesome!
That's so wonderful; I wish I could've seen your beautiful work in person! You inspire me; I've always been an artist and have always loved drawing, but I never really got into drawing Harry Potter (even though I've loved it since the beginning) until I saw your work. It is totally awesometastic...forgive my incoherence. :D Great job; you have much to be proud of.

Congratulations, darling!
I am so glad that the show went well and that you had a fabulous time!!! The cake looks amazing!
YAAAAAAAAAAY! ;D

Very much looking forward to seeing you at Prophecy!

& yes, I'm sure if you had a list of availability and prices, a lot of those pieces would surely sell!

...and goodness it is going to take some careful packing to get those all to the cons! Good luck with that! ;p

Wow!!! Que gran día para ti!!! Muchas Felicidades!!! :o)

(Sorry for the Spanish... but, for me is difficult write in English :o( )

Un gran beso y un abrazote.

You're wrong!! YOU ARE COOL!

It looks amazing. So many people and your parents, how cute dressing up. My dad wouldn't do that! In fact he doesn't know who Snape is LOL. And the kids, how adorable were they. And the art looks fantastic. So when are you going to do a presentation in Australia cause I would find a way to make it even if it was on the other side of the country.
